Restart Reformer Pilates, Inner Temple. Corner Shop, 180 The Strand. Wild Things Flowers, Mayfair. The Oxford Cambridge Boat Race.

This edit moves between four spaces shaped by their surroundings — each defined less by what it offers, and more by how it sits within its environment.
Restart Reformer Pilates operates within the Inner Temple in Holborn — a Victorian space inside one of London's most historic legal districts, where the setting changes the tone of training before a session has begun. Corner Shop at 180 The Strand sits within a redeveloped Brutalist building by Frederick Gibberd, part of a wider transformation of the site into a mixed-use cultural and hospitality environment. Wild Things Flowers, located opposite Claridge's in Mayfair since 1996, is built on continuity rather than trend — a florist that feels as though it has always been where it is. The Oxford Cambridge Boat Race, first held in 1829, turns the Thames into an open stadium for an afternoon — accessible along the entire Tideway from Putney to Mortlake, without a ticket.
Four places where the surroundings do as much work as the offer.
